Book Review: Joker One

My military kick continues, but will take a respite until I can get my paws on Seal Team Six. Joker One was the best of the group so far. Donovan Campbell writes from a more human standpoint than Couch or Pfarrer, and expectedly draws in the reader. Campbell's experiences center around Iraq, and the brutal nature of that conflict. He doesn't downplay deaths in the platoon to be macho. He talks about how increasingly difficult it was to lead his team in the face of growing danger. I would recommend this one above The Finishing School or Warrior Soul.
