Taking a brief hiatus from Dexter (I'm two seasons in, real, real awesome), I watched Up In The Air which arrived suddenly in the mail. It's been on my list for a while. The movie has an interesting premise, and involves many actors I enjoy: J.K. Simmons, Jason Bateman, Zach Galifanakis, and George Clooney.
Oh wow, is that the guy who drank green tea all day long? Awesome. As it would turn out, I drank green tea all day long yesterday. Bigelow's.
Didn't see that coming. Kudos to the rude awakening of reality.
Well, sure did not live up to my expectations. While corny at times and often cliche, it did sport some quick hitting lines and a little wit every now and then. I didn't really myself caring about any of the characters, which has become my new barometer for movies. Clooney's character is okay, but not really that compelling.
