Music

Recently, I've been going through albums I haven't listened to in a while:

Anna Nalick-Wreck Of The Day

I didn't like it, the music just isn't that catchy or original, and the lyrics aren't anything special

either.

The Besnard Lakes-The Besnard Lakes Are The Dark Horse

This one reminded me of Bon Iver, but I love Bon Iver and didn't like The Besnard Lakes so something was off.

The Bridges-Limits of the Sky

Really poor. I don't know why I had it in the first place. It's getting deleted from my library.

Destroyer-Trouble In Dreams

This one was okay, but still nothing life-changing. It'll stay, but won't get another listen in the near future.

Ed Harcourt-The Beautiful Lie

I though this one was pretty good; good voice, good lyrics.

Elbow-The Seldom Seen Kid

I loved his voice and loved this album. Definitely a keeper.

Elvis Perkins-Ash Wednesday

Pretty normal singer-songwriter. Good easy listening though.

Great Northern-Trading Twilight For Daylight

I'm not a huge fan of bands with female lead singers. This one was passable, but will never sniff the ranks of my favorite artists.

The Last Shadow Puppets-The Age Of The Understatement

Good disc, catchy, eclectic, upbeat. Recommended

Let's Go Sailing-The Chaos In Order

Another female lead singer, but this one impressed me. The driving piano was a big plus.

Dolorean-You Can't Win

Average to good. Another easy listening artist.

The Broken West-I Can't Go On, I'll Go On

Really, really good. I remember that I liked them the first time around. Very good.

Albert Hammond Jr.-Yours To Keep

Poor. Deleted.

British Sea Power-Open Season

Fantastic. Great band.

Peter, Bjorn, and John-Writer's Block

This band makes great music, I just don't like it. This album is no exception.

Jens Lekman-Night Falls Over Kortedala

Wow, this was really awesome. I'm glad I stumbled back onto it. It will definitely get another listen soon.

Iron & WIne-The Creek Drank The Cradle

I've never liked Iron & Wine, and this album continues the trend. I find their music boring, and their fantastic lyrics can't make up for the fact that I fall asleep.

Architecture In Helsinki-Places Like This

Just crazy, zany music. Love it.

TV On The Radio-Dear Science

I recall not liking this band when I first listened to them, after a few of my friends raved about them. I liked them more this time, and they may continue to grow on me.
