Movies

The Patriot-7

I unwittingly watched this movie on the Fourth of July weekend, and felt soo patriotic when I realized. There's not really anything better than Mel Gibson, fighting for family and country, carving a path of destruction through the enemy.

Finding Forrester-6

I love anything involving genius, and Jamal Wallace is that genius of a writer. He finds an unsuspecting friend, and together they push each other to reach their dreams.

Heist-6

Gene Hackman in a twisting heist movie? Entertainment for sure.

Amazing Grace-6

The inspiring story of William Wilberforce, who bucked societal norms and convention to abolish the slave trade.

Before Sunset-6

Remember that blog post about conversations? That's all this movie is, and it's pretty good, despite some infuriating moments.

Super Size Me-5

Compelling documentary on how bad McDonald's is for you. Won't exactly make you spurn McDonald's forever, but will make you think twist about super sizing it.

Intolerable Cruelty-5

Clooney and Zeta Jones mix wits and sarcastic banter in this Coen Brothers film. Billy Bob Thornton is pretty entertaining as well.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button-4

Good story, but this movie just dragged on.

The International-4

Not a whole lot of plot, but some good action and intrigue.

Moulin Rouge-3

Some of the songs were thrilling, but musical-meets-movie doesn't really do it for me.

Good Morning, Vietnam-3

Robin Williams is fantastic, but most of the other actors are subpar.

Armageddon-3

This movie knew its plot was ridiculous and just went with it. I'm a fan of Buscemi and Willis, but not so much of Affleck and Tyler.

Idiocracy-2

It was meant to be stupid, and it was. Funny at parts; I cringed at others.

Across The Universe-2

Similar type of movie to Moulin Rouge. Gotta love the Beatles, but the movie was ehh.

Bolt-0

This movie falls in between the kid audience and the adult audience. Nothing to say about it.

Brick-0

This movie tried to be dark and clever, and probably succeeded, but forgot to put anything in the movie that anyone would want to watch. Oops.

Amadeus-0

Stuffy and slow, who ever though powdered wigs looked cool? What are we wearing in this day and age that people will laugh about in 100 years? Crocs, gauchos, ray-bans, really really really tight pants, distressed stuff?
