2010 Toyota Prius
Question: Why wouldn't you get a Toyota Prius? Unless you really craved the extra horsepower you're going to get in another car, the differences are few. Compare the 2010 Prius to the 2010 Camry. The only differences are horsepower, MPG, and price. The price differential is not even $1,000, and if you drive the 16,000 average miles per year, then you save $1240 by driving the Prius. I was always under the impression that hybrids cost 5-10k more, but it looks like I was wrong. I don't know what the availability of repair shops for hybrids is, but if there's demand, the supply will come. I'll definitely consider a hybrid (not new though) when I get a new car.
