Now that I've angered a huge segment of our country (which is ok, since I can't think of anyone who actually reads my blog and likes Harry Potter), I'll review a movie that exhibits writing in complete contrast to Harry Potter. I've seen Toy Story and Toy Story 2. I know the story. I knew that Toy Story 3 was the last in the series. And yet, I was continually on the edge of my seat, trying to figure out what would happen next yet always surprised and delighted by what actually did. It's a tribute to John Lasseter and the rest of the Pixar team. They continued to bring inanimate objects to life, paint some as evil yet keep it family friendly, be ridiculously sentimental without feeling overly sappy and leave the viewer satisfied with the outcome. Beautiful job.
