I've always enjoyed Gladwell's writing, even though his public status and accompanying ego have reached Taleb-ian proportions. What The Dog Saw is simply a compilation of many of Gladwell's essays from the New Yorker. Gladwell has always been a master storyteller, drawing the reader into seemingly inane and uninteresting subjects. Gladwell also inserts many references into his writing, and as someone whose quest for knowledge is driven more by the process than by any outcomes, I came away with a huge list of books, poems, songs, terms and phrases to seek out.
