8-Whatever Works
This movie has the best kind of humor; the kind of Woody Allen and Larry David. Larry David is fantastic, cynical, quick, sarcastic, and brutal. Highly recommended.
6-Smoking Aces
When I saw the trailers for this movie way back when, it looked cheap, cliche, and boring. Well, it was cliche, but definitely not boring. Fantastic action, plot twists, and weaponry.
5-State Of Play
This movie was suspenseful, had great acting, and a good plot. Despite the ending that left me slightly confused, this movie was a win.
4-GI Joe-Rise Of The Cobra
Poor plot and poor acting. Unbelievable special effects, technology, action, and talent. If you're looking for some mind blowing action, this is your movie.
2-The Break Up
This movie did nothing for me. I didn't laugh, didn't cry, didn't find out anything about myself, didn't feel anything for the characters....just nothing. Some people think it's a brutally accurate depiction of a break up; I guess I just don't have the life experience.
1-Is Anybody There?
I had high hopes for this Michael Caine movie. I was willing to drudge through the boring set up, hoping that the movie would move to more uplifting scenes. It never did, and I give this one two thumbs down.
1-Star Trek
I don't like sci-fi; I didn't like the action; I didn't like the acting; I didn't like the writing.
0-Bruno
Same script as Borat, just more over the top. Maybe this is obvious to everyone else, but I'm pretty sure everyone in the movie was an actor. I at least felt Borat used some actual people and actual reactions. Bruno failed on every level possible.
