Movies

Magnolia-9

Thank you Matt for the recommendation. This movie was epic in every way. I thought every acting performance could be called the performance of a career. It was suspenseful, real, intense, and make you think. It's not the type of movie you watch over and over again, but watch it once and for three hours you will be captivated.

500 Days of Summer-6

No one likes to break up, but this movie dealt with the subject with realism and humor. I laughed out loud often, and it wasn't syrupy or utopic.

The Talented Mr. Ripley-5

Matt Damon once again plays a genius; this time a sociopath. Great performances from Damon, Jude Law, and Gwyneth Paltrow. Creepy to be sure, but a good watch.

The Soloist-5

Robert Downey Jr. is always entertaining to watch. The movie as a whole wasn't anything too special, but worth watching once.

I Love You Man-4

It had it's funny parts, quite a few of them in fact, but the acting was not top notch.

Blow-4

Johnny Depp is brilliant once again. But I can only take so much drug using and drug dialogue. I lost interest.

Adventureland-4

It kept me watching every now and then. Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart couldn't pull off the college kids they were trying to portray. Their acting was okay, but too many parts were not believable.

Be Kind Rewind-3

The trailer is hilarious and the movie just isn't. Jack Black isn't typecast, there's just only one way he acts.

Mrs. Doubtfire-2

Funny and endearing, but mediocre all the way around.

Next in the queue:

Man on the Moon

Miller's Crossing

Rambo: First Blood

Valkyrie

Yes Man

Leatherheads
