This post is a deviation from the level of previous posts. This post is much more meaningful.
It has some context, but the context doesn't illuminate anything.
I don't think attraction is a very tangible thing. When people are asked why they are attracted to someone, the same answers are usually given, or at least present among others: looks, brains, personality, interests, etc. Sure they matter. But to be honest, I know a bunch of girls who are very attractive, a bunch who are smart, and a bunch who have great personalities, etc. And while the convergence of these qualities isn't terribly often, I think it's more often than most people think. And yet people talk about strong attractions to a certain person. I think it's something immeasurable and unquantifiable. Grandiose I know. I recall a story showing the power of our own intuition. One man was unable to choose between two women, incapably unable. Since he was at his wits end, he took his friend's suggestion to list the goods and bad qualities of each, assign values to all, cross out the similar qualities, and end up with a score for each. Whoever was higher, that was who he liked more. He painstakingly went through the process, taking his time, and being thorough and detailed. In the end, he finally had his answer. His immediate reaction was "but that's not right." And in that beautiful split second reaction he realized that he had known all along. I completely agree. I remember a situation last semester when, while walking briskly around a corner, I unexpectedly saw a certain someone. And my heart did something it has never done before, in a very good way. I call that the "unexpected corner" test. It's kind of impossible to carry out theoretically. But the test is basically this, "when running into people unexpectedly, who causes the strongest reaction in you?"

its kind of like what makes a good song - the important elements: harmony, melody, and rhythm, may all be good, but the song still might not strike your fancy. I think the best things are all somewhat intangible.
