Movie Review: Black Swan

Now that I've taken the CFA Exam, I recently restarted my Netflix subscription (also why I'm writing again here). Black Swan is directed by Darren Aronofsky, a truly brilliant and revolutionary director. Requiem For a Dream, Pi, The Fountain and The Wrestler are all fantastic stories backed by the directorial aplomb of Aronofsky. Black Swan is no different. The cinematography is exquisite, the cuts are artistic. Combine that with fitting and haunting music from Clint Mansell and a possible career-best performance from Portman and you have an incredible movie. I don't know if it's a movie you really "enjoy", but rather a movie you "appreciate" and not just in an abstract, modern art type of way. Everyone involved in this movie is an expert in their craft. This is a must-watch.
