Movies

Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist-7

Sure, this was a teen movie. It's set in high school. But I like Michael Cera in the role he's now typecasted himself into. The music is awesome. I tend to listen to music that relates to the mood I'm in, and lyrics that speak what I'm thinking. That's what this movie did well and that's why I liked it.

The Usual Suspects-7

Great drama and intrigue, with a plot that keeps you guessing. I can't elaborate too much without giving plot away, but I loved it.

Donnie Brasco-5

I think Johnny Depp is one of the best actors of our generation. He proves it to me once again in this film. If you like mob/mafia films, watch this one.

Elegy-4.5

Intense drama driven by the performances of Ben Kingsley and Penelope Cruz. Nothing was terribly original about the film.

Edward Scissorhands-4

Depp was okay in this film; he didn't do much. Overall, the plot was lacking and the acting was very lacking.

Awakenings-3

Robin Williams as a renegade physician once again. The movie had its moments but ran long, losing steam.

Son Of Rambow-3

I had high hopes for this movie, but it fell flat. The British humor was funny enough, and the acting was not compelling.

Speed & Angels-3

This is a documentary about two pilots trying to fly the F-14. Entertaining, but it's still a documentary.

An Inconvenient Truth-1

Okay, okay, it's an important topic. Still, it was pretty boring to listen to Al Gore while he shows a powerpoint.
