Well, I had better run all of my pressing errands, make sure the cupboard and fridge are stocked, and put away everything in my apartment. Starting hopefully in under a week, I will be very very busy. I just registered to take the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exam on December 5 of this year. That gives me 149 days from today to prepare (a few less since my study materials won't arrive for a bit). The test recommends a minimum of 250 hours of studying and I will put in at least that. The $690 to retake the test is not appealing. But my motivations for studying hard are just not to avoid paying extra money. This is something I'm passionate about, something I'm interested in, something that will be a huge asset to me career. I want to master it. I want people to come to me with their questions, knowing that I'll give them the best answer possible. My differentiator is my mind, and I'm going to leverage it in the highest way possible. While I am continuing increasing my human capital, it will start to increase by leaps and bounds. Employers take note. You want me. And you especially don't want to be known as the company that passed on me.
